Year 7 2025

How do I get my child's BYODD MacBook ready for school?

The College will provide all the apps, software, services, and configuration required for your child’s MacBook to fully function as a learning tool.

The process of installing these components is referred to as 'enrolling' the device into the College's BYODD MacBook Program.

The College's ICLT team maintains a detailed BYODD MacBook Program Enrolment Guide that provides step-by-step instructions on enrolling your child's MacBook into the Program. This Guide will be emailed out to all Year 7 2025 families in the weeks leading up to Term 1, 2025, and will be accompanied by your child's individual student account details.

We strongly encourage all families to try and complete the MacBook Enrolment process before the start of Term 1, as this will allow your child to make the most out of Bootcamp.

You can access a copy of the guide here: Year 7 2025 BYODD MacBook Enrolment Guide.

How do I get support with my child's BYODD MacBook?

We understand that for many families, Year 7 may be the first time you and your child are exposed to a Mac device and software, and appreciate this can sometimes be a confusing time.

Commencing in 2025, the College’s ICLT team is hosting new BYODD MacBook Setup Sessions to all of our Year 7 2025 students, parents and carers.

These free sessions are aimed at guiding families through the process of enrolling your child’s MacBook into the College’s BYODD MacBook Program, ensuring your child can make the most out of Bootcamp on the first day of school. This will also be an opportunity to address any technical issues you may experience during the enrolment process.
